Default Broad proves his worth for Notts

In today’s game, it isn’t too often that an England international makes an appearance in the County Championship. For someone like Stuart Broad – who is established in all forms of the game for his country – it is an extremely rare occurrence. When Broad is able to play for Nottinghamshire though, cricket betting pundits recognise that he will always be keen to make the most out of the occasion. They are the County that have helped him develop as a cricketer after all and been supportive to him during his England career. With this in mind, the 24-year-old will be more than happy with his performance in the recent County Championship victory over Warwickshire. Broad starred with the ball at Edgbaston, completing his first 10-wicket match haul to show his class in the middle of the English summer. It was the second innings in particular where Broad came to life. He took the first seven wickets to fall on his way to career best figures of 8-52. Before Broad’s match-winning spell, Nottinghamshire only held a first innings lead of 76.
